Meet The Team.

The Team
Surprise! It's just me - Tom. The Storykeeper is a one man operation believe it or not. Let me tell you a little bit about myself if you care to listen. I grew up in Mid Michigan and have spent most my life in Michigan. The older I get and the more I travel, I seem to fall deeper in love with my home state. I'm a very proud Michigan boy.

After graduating from Okemos High School I attended the University of Michigan (don't worry I've still got some Spartan blood in me too) where I studied Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. This landed me some incredible work opportunities at companies like Collins Aerospace and NASA. Eventually I found myself working full time at robotics startup. It was under this demanding work environment that I decided to make a shift in my career path.
Starting at a young age, I had a huge passion for making videos. My childhood was quite literally experienced through a lens of "How can I turn this into a video?" This planted the seed in my mind that when I grew up I was going to make videos for a living. Well - I got a little older, and I wasn't doing that. So I decided to take a leap of faith, and I quit my job. Game time.

The first thing I did after retiring from engineering and collecting my social security(this is a joke) at the ripe age of 23 was travel to Europe with my camera and a backpack for a month. I wanted to really push myself and see what I was capable of creating in some of the most beautiful places I've ever been. My journey began in the ancient, untamed Fjords of Norway and was completed on the languid, golden Beaches of Southern Albania with much unspoken adventure between the two.
This trip was transformative for many reasons, but one of the most critical was reigniting my confidence and passion for video making into a blazing heat. One of the things I decided to do in that blazing heat was record an interview of my grandfather before he passed away. This become the foundational moment of The Storykeeper.
The Storykeeper's First Film.
The Storykeeper began with a deeply personal project of it's owner - Tom. Tom filmed an interview with his own grandfather. Tom was struck by how powerful it was to see his grandfather's life and voice preserved in great detail on screen — and how it brought his family closer, stirred emotions, and made his grandpa's story feel sacred. That experience opened Tom's eyes to a simple truth: real lives, particularly of the one's closest to us, are the most important stories we'll ever hear, and they deserve to be preserved with utmost care, artistry, and reverence. What started as a way to honor Tom's own family has grown into a mission to help others preserve their most meaningful memories and milestones through cinematic storytelling that lasts for generations.
