Storytelling is our species most ancient form of passing down someone's legacy. The Storykeeper tells peoples' stories leveraging modern professional video and audio equipment. It's simple - we preserve peoples' lives in a one of a kind way that is both timeless and totally unique for current and future generations.
Creating a Storykeeper film for yourself or a loved one is one of the most unique ways that you can express your love and joy for someone's life. We use professional grade video and audio to capture each individuals unique and timeless beauty which when combined with the passion and creativity of the founder/filmmaker who did this for his passing grandfather to create a masterpiece that you will cherish for the rest of your life and future generations to come. Our ultimate goal is to provide a way for future generations to TRULY know you or the one's you cherish most - their smile, the way their laugh sounds, their iconic stories they've told hundreds of times - all of it.
First we will have a brief phone call to discuss your project. From there we will set up a time to come and record your interview session wherever you choose. Finally we will gather any photos or videos you would like to have incorporated to your final film and begin editing everything into a professional masterpiece.
Once recording has been complete and we have receive the videos and images, the final film is usually complete and delivered in 1 - 3 weeks depending on how big the project is as well as how busy The Storykeeper is during that time.
There will be a thorough guide sent out to you days beforehand to ensure you are feeling both prepared and relaxed. On the day of your recording we will have a couple fancy cameras and lights set up. It will just be myself onsite and despite the fancy equipment, it will ultimately just be a casual 2 - 3 hour discussion between myself and the individual. We may also take some time to shoot some supplementary footage of the individual outside of our interview time.
No. Storytelling is the most ancient way that humans bond and pass down important information. We believe this is a sacred process that has no place for a machine.
